Show and Shine Day

Mathew Kean, the 126 and 202 registrar of the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW, invites you to attend our first ever, Show and Shine Day. To be held in -358 days, on Sunday, 6th April 2008, at the Canada Bay Club, 4 William Street, Five Dock. The event will commence at 10.00am and conclude at 1.00pm in the Mackaness Close car park of the club.
What is a show and shine day?
A show and shine day provides an opportunity for owners to show THEIR Mercedes-Benz to other owners, and to those who just like to look at, and talk about, Mercedes-Benz. You do not need to be a member of any affiliated car club to attend.
But mine is not a show car
That doesn't matter. The Show and Shine Day is not a competition to find who has the most original or cleanest Mercedes-Benz on the day, we have a Councours d'Elegance every September for that. The Show and Shine Day is all about Pride of Ownership. So if it has, or had, a star on the front, or Mercedes-Benz manufactured it, then we would like to see it there, regardless of condition.
What can I expect to see?
Mercedes-Benz of all shapes and sizes. Every day drivers, project cars, collectables, big ones, little ones, old ones, new ones, saloons, cabriolets, roadsters, vans. Some will be original, others will be exstravagantly modified, and some will be extremely rare. We are excited about some of the rare models that will be attending, but we expect to be equally surprised about other Mercedes-Benz that arrive on the day.

Can someone help me with a problem?
We hope so. Some of the registrars from the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW, will be on hand to assist with any questions you might have about your Mercedes-Benz. If they don't know the answer, they can probably direct you to somebody who does.
Will it cost me anything?
Yes, It will cost you $2.00 (two dollars) to enter the car park. There will however, be a lucky gate prize.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes, the club shop will be there offering all of our regular items. To see those items now, click here
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes there will be. The Canada Bay Club, which is across the street from the Show and Shine Day, has both a snack bar and full restaurant facilities. Their dress code requires that you be clean and tidy, wear covered shoes and have a collar on your shirt.
After the event, about 1.10pm, the organisers will be having lunch in Wings Chinese Restaurant, on the first floor of the Canada Bay Club. We encourage everyone to come along and join us.
