MBCACT Concours d'Elegance It's off down the highway to challenge for some trophies with our friends in the ACT! The event will be held on the Patrick White Lawns, which is a grassed area between Lake Burley Griffin and the National Library. Day Spa at Auto Salon d'Elegance
Auto Salon d'Elegance cnr: St Hillier's Rd and Rawson St Auburn. (diagonally opposite the Gallipoli Mosque) Time: Noon-3pm This is the place to learn all the tricks of the trade and how to present your car at the upcoming Concours on Sunday 5th September, 2010. Join Sam Movizio and his team of professionals, as they afford you the opportunity for a 'hands on experience' at detailing cars to CONCOURS CONDITION! There will be live demonstrations on vehicles in all types of condition, with information given about how to present your vehicle and how to display the different areas of your vehicle that will gain you points with the judges! (interior, engine bay, boot etc) This workshop will also be of benefit to owners who may not be thinking about entering Concours, as info will be given about how to preserve your paintwork and interior materials etc. $10.00 per member with a light lunch and refreshments to be served. This is a tremendously informative workshop and we urge you not to miss it!

Show n Shine + Car Boot Sale All club members and anyone they know with a Mercedes-Benz are invited to our very own Show n Shine! Gather in the Canada Bay Club car park, 10am on Sunday 11th July, 2010. You should bring a warm coat and any old spare parts to sell at the "Car boot sale" operating in one corner of the car park. Morning tea and lunch in the club if desired. This will be a "bonnets up" day with the opportunity to discuss all things Mercedes-Benz. To celebrate the cultural diversity of our club, everyone is asked to bring along and proudly display their national flag (country of birth). Cost: $5.00 per car. No RSVP required, just turn up and join in the fun.

High Tea at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. Following on from the huge success of last year's event, this year we are pleased announce that High Tea at the Carrington is once again included on the events calendar for 2010. The Carrington is a unique heritage property, steeped in history and the elegance of a bygone era. When there was time to read, to talk, to take a stroll or relax in front of the open fire with an after dinner drink. The Carrington Ballroom, in which we shall enjoy High Tea, offers the elegance and simplicity of that era. This is a delightful day for the entire family, beginning with a leisurely Autumn drive to Katoomba, followed by a step back in time to a variety of finger food available on a self serve basis. Meet at the car park of the Baulkham Hills Shire Council, corner Carrington Ave and Showground Rd, Castle Hill 8.30am for a 9.00am sharp departure. Tickets are now on sale for this event at $20.00 p/p, with an upper limit of 80 places. Currently 20 places remain. Admission is strictly by pre-purchased tickets only. Mercedes-Benz National Rally 2010 The Mercedes-Benz National Rally 2010, will be held in Perth W.A. between the dates indicated on the left. The MBCNSW Liason for this event is Mr. Adrien Hopkins. To help make it as attractive as possible for visitors from outside of W.A, the hosts have a "Buddy" system for visitors and significantly, the hosts will also will be subsidising freight costs for bringing your Mercedes-Benz or smart from interstate. The W.A. organising committee have made substantial and informative entries onto the MBCNSW forum. These entries have are updated regularly as new information comes to hand. Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest Motorfest The Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor Club is a local motor club with 40 members and 85 Veteran, Vintage, Classic and Unique cars and motorcycles and stage an annual Motorfest. With car display facilities for a maximum of 350 vehicles early registration is essential. This event is proudly sponsored by local business, with the proceeds to local charities. Hundreds of veteran, vintage, classic and modern cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display. there will be food and drinks stalls as well as information stands and music. - Trophies for best display - Each participant receives a Certificate of Appreciation - This is a chance for our Northern regional members to join us for display. When: Saturday 13th March 2010, display cars in place by 9am till 2.30pm. Where: Myall Park Sports Reserve, Hawks Nest. Cost: $10 to display car, paid at entry gate. Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club Annual Motor Show The Gnoo Blas Classic Car Club holds its annual motor show for its members and the public, keeping the history of the old circuit alive whilst also raising funds for charities and projects. You will have the opportunity to travel the historic circuit and enjoy the surrounding of the park. There will be much entertainment on the weekend including a 50 year anniversary on Saturday at the Orange Ex-Services Club, a scenic trip to a local winery and picnic lunch at Lake Canobolas on Sunday. The Gnoo Blas Classic 2010 will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Australian Touring Car Championship. NRMA Motorfest Macquarie St, Sydney. Here's a classic family day out for everyone, NRMA celebrates 25 years of Motorfest this year! For those not familiar with Motorfest, it is a fantastic event, just about every make of car you would want to see, all lined up in Macquarie St, with food stalls in Hyde Park and free entry to The Barracks, The Mint and Parliament House, a great family day!
